Yeah, so I managed the morning at work, but came home. If you’ve been paying attention I’ve been weirdly sick the last couple of days. Not enough to confine me to bed or whatever, but enough to keep me unfocused, feeling generally crap, and not able to focus enough to work well. Bleh.
So, anyway. Home. The weekend stretches out before me, probably full of being ill. But also:
Ticket to Ride: Bought this on Xbox Live Arcade this week with my first ever purchase of MS Points. About £6 I guess? It’s a nice little game, lacking in a few things I’d like to see (‘Pass the pad’ functionality for multiplayer; more maps; some little animations or something here and there) but I’m still liking it. More board games on XBLA, please.
GemCraft: Really starting to see the appeal of this. It’s a ‘desktop tower defence’ game that runs in Flash. Basically, build your defences, and then see wave after wave of monsters throw themselves against ‘em. At first it seemed kind of silly, but then it started to grip me… great lunchtime game, and it has strategic depth. Try it.
Doctor Who season finale: After last week’s cliffhanger (“HOLY CRAP! THEY CAN’T DO THAT!” may have been, erm, shouted in this house), I demanded that Aero catch up on the entire season to date so that we could completely nerd out and see the season finale on work’s big screen telly. He has been persistent in his attempts, so should be a fun night. Hmm, must tell wife that’s the plan for tomorrow.
Hancock: It’s July 4th weekend. Who else are you going to go watch at the cinema except Big Willy.
Who knows, if I feel up to it I might even get myself back to the gym.
