Questions (I probably can’t answer)

I have zero time to write anything of substance on here right now – or at least it would appear that way, wouldn’t it – but I could probably answer questions if you have any.

So act now! One time offer! Limited time only! Offer void where applicable! Etc! Fire away. Ask anything you like. The worst I can do is not answer. And if you don’t have any questions, well… what’s wrong with you then? So c’mon. Don’t make me bust out a hard stare.

    Hey Stephen.

I REALLY REALLY BADLY want an action shot of Spiderman drawn by Andie Tong and Coloured too!

Happy to pay good money for one, but can’t attend any events for a while, how do I get my hands on one?

If we ask really nicely, can we get some Aion MOOs before November if we live in the UK and can’t get to Leipzig?

    Questions… questions, questions, questions…

So many to ask, and most of the answers will be locked up tight under a NDA, so I’m not going to bother asking those ones…

So. Memorabilia ’08. What hard facts can you give us about who will be there? (I mean in terms of the NC crew, plus artists, plus actors (actresses) as characters)

When is I13 scheduled for open beta? (Okay, I KNOW you’re not going to answer that one, but I had to ask.)

How much wood would a Woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? (Alright, it’s early, I’m tired, and my brain isn’t in gear.)

What’s your highest level character in CoX? AT/Powersets?

Did you find any time to go out mishing on Double Rewards Weekend?

More questions will undoubtedly follow, because I’m a nosey bugger.

    What’s an Aion MOO?

  5. #5 by Rockjaw at July 30th, 2008

@Shuttler – see new post for what an Aion MOO is. ;) Also, Andie does commissions – follow the link in my blogroll and email him.

@marc_johansen – Very doubtful. We have exact numbers. I could send you a spare card… but it has a picture of a cat on it.

If it works out we could do something similar at Memorabilia, so stay tuned.

    I have a question!

Massively currently have a competition for some CoH/V in-game bonus thingy. (http://www.massively.com/2008/07/28/contest-win-an-exclusive-in-game-city-of-heroes-item-from-comic/)…

Is there any scope of something like this happening specifically for CoH/V at future European events/cons/meets?

Also (and I’m reminding myself here that you look after lots of games there at NC, not just CoH/V) I love reading about the past training server events hosted by the Devs, with random Yellow Titles, huge GM and AV spawn parties. Tabula Rasa do a great job with the Friday Night Fights event. Logistically speaking, is it possible to hold those sort of events in game on the CoH European servers from time to time? I know you guys do a great job giving out titles, game time and stuff, there’s no suggestion at all you guys don’t do enough, you’re all very busy people already… but thought I’d ask ;)

…and an additional cheeky bit; Is it possible to get a forum title ‘Play @Mystie for me’ on the CoH forums?… No? Ah, ok ;) hehe

@Shadowe: Memorabilia – in a word, bigger. Than last year. Okay, that’s four words. I can’t confirm everything yet but like I say, bigger. Expect many familiar faces and some new ones.

    Definitely worth coming.

Issue 13: I actually don’t know. This year, though. ;)

Highest level character in CoX is… I think… 34. Energy / Energy Blaster. Sky Pirate. You can find him on Flickr and our DTWT Sketch Gallery. ;)

I didn’t actually get into game for the double XP weekend… I think I was here (at the office) most of the time!

The Woodchuck… probably a little less than his own body mass, I’d reckon.

When are the Tabula Rasa trial packs coming out in the UK?

Oh, and need any help for memorabilia at all? You know i am always willing to help out :D

If I was considering going to Leipzig, from the UK where is the best place to fly from and to stay? :D

Is the games convention marketed at German speaking peeps only or will there be lots for us nonlinguists?

@Gangrel: Don’t know – possibly later in the year – but we did just launch Operation: Immortality, so there should be lots of trials floating around.

Memorabilia help… we might do the Sidekick thing. Might. Not sure yet.

@Shuttler: You had really better move your butt if you want to attend; hotel rooms have been booked in almost the entire city for quite a while now. We’re flying from Stanstead, with Ryanair, into Altenburg (I think), but you can also fly into Leipzig or Berlin, and get to the show pretty easily from either thanks to the staggeringly efficient German train system. In fact, staying in another town and coming in by train – good idea.

Having said all that… if you don’t speak a word of German, it won’t be easy (IMO). I guess if you’re super-friendly you’ll probably be okay. But if I was you I’d find a friendly German TR buddy and hang out with them.

The show itself is primarily in German, including the language on many of the games being demo’ed, but you can still generally figure out what’s what.

Hope that helps. And if this year doesn’t happen, there’s always 2009.

@Mystie: In-game bonus items as show giveaways? Definitely (and probably not just at shows either). Come to Memorabilia. ;)

In-game events; can’t comment, that’s GhostRaptor’s baby. I’m sure he’d like to, but as always, time is an issue… and those things are really hard to organise.
