With the Eurogamer Expo in two weeks precisely, we’re at last opening up the volunteer program. I say ‘program’ as if it’s sophisticated and well planned… anyway here’s what I posted to the EG Expo group…

We’re looking for a few good men (and women; we’re not fussy) to help run the Eurogamer Expo this October!

As well as getting into the Expo for FREE and being able to pal around with us for two days, you’ll also be one of the privileged few to get the chance to…

• Plug things in!
• Restart consoles!
• Answer questions about games!
• Fetch and carry (sometimes heavy) items!

We know you’re excited already – possibly twitching nervously, wondering how you can apply – but wait, let us sweeten the pot some more. We’re also going to:

• Pay your expenses (up to £20 per day)
• Keep you caffeinated and hydrated, and best of all
• Cover your naked torso in a unique Eurogamer Expo t-shirt!

Oh, and hopefully, give you a bunch of free gaming related stuff. But we know it’s the t-shirt that you really want.

Don’t worry, we’ll give you the occasional compassionate break, and promise not to yell at you unless you, oooh, drop an expensive TV. We’re also flexible on just when you volunteer – see the form linked below for details.

All we ask is that you are…

• Aged 18 or over (when the Expo starts, natch)
• Eager as a beaver in a sawmill
• Friendly as a clown at a kid’s party
• Games-savvy as a cynical forum member
