As you may have noticed, this blog’s been a bit inactive. That’s primarily because it’s not serving its purpose, which is to talk about work-related stuff. As I’m ‘between’ jobs right now (it’s complicated, but don’t worry, it’s fine) there’s not a hell of a lot I can talk about, for various reasons.
However, at the same time, I miss writing here; I miss writing in general. I’m occasionally popping up over at Limited Edition, and if you want to read about a fine coffee shop I even maintain the Moksha site now – but apart from Twitter, I’m not in direct contact much.
So I had an idea: change the focus here, tweak things a bit, and start writing again. Change the focus to what? Well, me I guess, although I won’t be posting introspective gazes into the deepest recesses of my psyche just yet. No, I suppose I’d just be talking about stuff that interests me.
Having said this, the idea of a work-focused blog isn’t going to go away. I just might set one up somewhere else, maybe, in time.
Good idea? Bad idea? Don’t give a damn one way or the other? That’s the question. I appreciate your opinions, and your patronage, so I figured I’d ask.
Also: how the hell are you?

1st….
Only joking; or am i?
I have to admit that i have enojyed following your “tweets” and the links that you post up on a regular basis there.
Obviously talking about what interests you is important… and i do like your opinions of the MMO world (i assume that you still play them that is).
Anyway, i be fine… alive and well.
And pew pewing in a universe currently located on a server in London.

Things that are interesting are always good to blog about. Currently I’ve been blogging about WoW, but I’ve got several other things I can post about.
I’ve been okay, lots of time off work recovering from surgery, looking for new work as well, and making all kinds of plans for the future. Plus deciding if I should go back to college.
And as anyone reading my Twitter/Facebook this week should know, I fought the temptation for an Eee PC. And lost.

Games, movies, comics, politics. Whatever. Not only is this the internet, this is your corner of the internet so if you feel the need to launch in to an epic tirade against the unimaginitive banality of something – go for it.
Speaking of; Legend of Chun Li opened today stateside, man. I kinda want to see it but I’m kinda scared. Thoughts?

@Gangrel – You’d better make with the heartfelt goodbye to TR this weekend, brother.
@Zortel – Tell me more about your experiences with the EEE. Thinking about one of those for the wife…
@Extremus – One Street Fighter movie was surely enough. If you want to be scared, track down the trailer for Dragonball Evolution.

@Rockjaw: Trust me, i will be there for the end of TR… i have alcohol planned, screenshot and FRAPS lined up, and also i think i couple of vent servers available to use and abuse.
Its going to be one hell of a ride to say the least for me
edit: HOW on earth have i manged to post before your reply Rockjaw? Just look at the time stamps.. you been playing with the server time?
#6 by Rockjaw at February 28th, 2009
@Gangrel: Yes, the server time was ahead by an hour. WordPress has to be updated manually, and I’m blogging so infrequently I forgot.

Once I get it, I will Rockjaw. The model I’ll be getting is the 901 Eee PC, Linux Version. (Based on specs alone, if I was going to recommend one, it’d be the 901. Best battery life out of them all, a good ratio between weight, features, power usage, and due to the solid state drive it’s very quiet and doesn’t get as hot as some of the ones with hard drives do. Plus, SSD’s use way less power.)
Also, from some in store tests, I’m contemplating getting a pair for my parents. It’ll make the moving out thing much easier. “Yes, I’m leaving home, but look, you can e-mail, IM, call me via VOIP or use the webcam to see me!”

Ahahaha no. I’m staying clear of the DBZ movie, I think. Ugh.

@Rockhjaw Made the event (well BOTH events to be honest), and shed many a tear.
I think the crunch came though when i was on a vent server with US players, and the dev’s came on to say thanks.
