Hello there.

My name is Stephen Reid, known to some online communities as ‘Rockjaw‘. I’m currently contracting as an online community and content consultant, mostly because I like using lots words that begin with ‘C’ when describing my work.

I was employed by NCsoft Europe from 2004-2008 in various roles, all of them community or content-based. My final position was as Creative Concepts Manager, working on a variety of community, marketing and content-related projects.

It was a hard job to explain, so partially as an attempt to help people understand what I was doing, I set up this site. (The category ‘Day Today‘ gives a sort-of-snapshot of various days in that job.)

Like many others at NCsoft Europe, I was laid off in 2008. Since then I’ve been consulting and looking for my next full-time position.

When full-time employment comes around again, I hope to revive this blog in a similar way to what I did ‘in its prime’. For now though, you’ll get intermittent posts about things I’m interested in, and occasionally, the games industry (and usually, MMOGs).
