New podcast (or two)

Episode 2.5 of the Official NCE Podcast is now online for you to listen to, download as an MP3, or even subscribe to in your favourite RSS reader (now including iTunes). Tell ‘em I sent you.

Wait; that’d be telling me I sent you, so… don’t.

This installment is mostly left-over material from the MiniCon, including a long chat between Alex ‘GhostRaptor’ Weekes and I about Task Force: Omega, and a fun get-together between Alex, some random players and Aero just gabbing about the weekend in general. P’raps you’re in there.

On the flip side, if you can handle a non-BBFC-approved 18-rated podcast about movies, you can go listen to Tagline – the irreverent, infrequent podcast my bro and I put together. I’ve had two people tell me the latest episode was “funny” in the last two days, and only one of them was my wife, so I’d take that as a recommendation.

The Cape covers COH in-game ads

Want to know about the in-game advertising that’s going into COH/COV? The internet to the rescue once again….

I didn’t listen to it live – probably because it went out in the middle of our night – but if you missed it too, The Cape Radio have a downloadable version of the interview they did with Brian Clayton (General Manager of NC NorCal), Matt ‘Positron’ Miller (Lead Designer) and Lighthouse (Community Relations Manager), where they talk primarily about in-game advertising.

Haven’t listened to it myself yet either, but if this Massively article is anything to go by, it’s all good stuff.

Listen to this: MiniCon interviews

If you’d like to hear all manner of NCsoft staff talking up a storm (plus Draw the World Together artists like David Nakayama and Andrew Wildman, to boot) then Split Infinity Radio and MusicWorldRadio have you covered, baby.

I had the pleasure of talking over the weekend with Riff, AKA Scarlet Shocker, of MusicWorldRadio, and also with Simon, AKA DJ Villain, of Split Infinity. Both had plenty of questions to ask and I hope I answered ‘em well. I’d like to thank them both for taking the time out to come down to the event and do the interviews – I hope you had a good time guys, and we’ll definitely see you next year!

A comic-book wedding

For everyone who couldn’t make it onto the EU (or US) Training Rooms over the last two nights to witness the in-game wedding of Manticore and Sister Psyche, there’s a comic book to celebrate the event.

At the same link, you can download all of the existing City of Heroes comics – the entire Blue King and Top Cow run. Must catch up on those, now I think about it.
